About

Brittany Horrigan is an oil painter based in Denver, Colorado. Her art is inspired by human togetherness, community, and the concept of time. The compositions and colors of her abstracted figurative and floral, as well as landscape paintings are inspired by her long held affection for the beauty of nature, interest in the human form, and 20th century art. Brittany uses color, texture and brush quality to construct, deconstruct and paint again to form layers of depth.

Brittany believes art makes the world a better place, and artists remind people what it means to be human. Creating and viewing or experiencing art is healing. Brittany likes to find ways to connect with her community through art, and has a special interest in working with Children as it pertains to art and mental health. She has been an artist all of her life, and took a detour to work in healthcare for the last 10 years. Continuing to practice art has helped her stay grounded and heal from the experience of caring for sick and injured people.
